The High School Assessment results from Prince George's County high schools has been released.  Parents of high schoolers will be provided the individualized results of the May 2006 HSAs for their children (who took them this past May 2006) sometime in September, 2006.

As you may or may not know, this school year, 2006-2007, will be a BIG TESTING YEAR for HSAs, especially for ninth and tenth graders.

In May 2007, some of them must take 2  HSAs (English 10, LSN Government) if they have already taken and passed the Algebra and Biology HSAs.

Others must take Algebra, Biology (if they had not yet taken them, or had taken them but did not pass them).

Yet, others (probably the majority?) must take all the 4 required HSAs. They will need our support and guidance.

ALL of our children need our (adults) encouragement, support, guidance, and TUTORIALS, to succeed. Those Pullen 8th graders who are taking Algebra will be given the Algebra HSA at the end of the year.  This will count towards the high school graduation requirements.

To get you started here is HSA Maryland High School Assessment packet.
